IPE is so hard that normal sealers will not penetrate. I have seen several products including Superdeck and Sikkens, used with sucess. Other sealers may leave a gooey surface. Regardless of which product you use, clean the surface with a solvent first such a lacquer thinner. Depending on how old the deck is, you may want to use sandpaper first.
