We use our proven and best-rated No-Notch Railing System (over 300 lbs impact force) on all deck plans. Follow the plans to build it or use another adaptable style of railing. Our installation method makes it easy to change railing styles including privacy screens and can also interchanged with composite railings such as Trex, Excel and Carefree railings.

Quality

Our plans comply with BOCA National Building Codes and have been designed to support 60 pounds per square foot live load. This adds greater strength and less lumber deflection than comparable deck plans designed at 40 pounds per square foot weight loads

Building Materials

Each Deck Plan has been engineered to work with a variety of deck building materials including Pressure Treated Lumber, Clear and Knotty Cedar, Redwood and other softwood species of lumber and including hardwood lumber such as Ipe, Mahogany among others. Composite materials are also commonly used with our plans and include materials like Trex, Evergrain, TimberTech and other similar man-made products including railing systems such as Excell, Carefree, and Deckorators etc.
