An offset placed staircase is slightly inset from the front keeping foot traffic patterns away from seated guests while adding visual interest to the decks design. 45-degree deck corners smooth hard edges and softening railing lines for a more pleasing look. The deck's bayed like shape in the front is carried around to the side balancing the design. A standard decking pattern increases the contrast between the two and brings a sense of correctness to the deck and home.
