A prize of a design in a small package is this charming double level deck plan. Gone are the days of slapping up a simple deck on a not so simple house. Now more than ever, decks are becoming more elaborate in design including the materials used to build them.
This particular deck makes good use of an up-to-date design for an attention-grabbing look by offsetting the lower deck from the top deck. At 153 square feet, the lower deck is more suited for small to midsize table and chairs.
If more space is desired, the upper deck can act as an extension of the lower deck with room for an additional table and seating area. A medium to large size grill can also be situated on either side of the top deck. Careful consideration in design by positioning the staircase up to the top deck makes all this possible. This in itself leads to good foot traffic patterns with minimum disturbance to the grill and table areas. 45-degree deck corners, shapely step between the two decks and the use of a standard decking pattern completes this charming double level deck plan.
