Talk about turning things around, this deck layout goes one step further. If having the deck staircase land in the side yard for easy access to the deck is important, this plan may be for you.
Deck Plans, Design 2008m, as seen in this picture, utilizes a turn-around staircase landing located about midway in elevation. Guests enter from the side yard and the staircase brings them up to the deck within a relatively small property footprint of space.
Perhaps one of the safest staircases to use in an elevated deck project is a combination midway landing with staircases. The noticeable midway staircase landing in the deck picture divides what would otherwise be a single long flight of stairs, which also adds a little more flavor to the overall deck design. Another important design element that shouldn't be overlooked is how the top staircase leads to an offshoot of the main deck area, keeping traffic flow and seating separate.
The design of this deck has quite a nice stance. Its shapely staircase layout, 90-degree deck corners and angled laid decking, increases the drama of the entire deck's appeal.
