A good deck design is, without doubt, a deck to think highly of. Take a good look at this deck plan and you'll find a large single level deck with two flights of stairs and a midway landing, all within the confines of a relatively small footprint of property space.

To begin with the deck's large formal looking table area is large enough for even some of the largest size gatherings. There's room for a good size table setup, including a large size grill for the chef of the house. This main deck area has plenty of room to spare. A small deck offshoot from the main table area for entering the deck from the staircase keeps seated guests comfortably away from foot traffic. An angled laid decking pattern contrasts the straight railing lines and deck corners adding a pleasing interest to the entire deck.

Although perhaps more difficult to build than most because of the confinement of its midway landing and being in such close proximity to the home, the uniqueness of its layout and direction of entering the staircase from the yard may make it a sensible choice.
